Merry Christmas

Good Evening Lovelies!
Hope you have all had a wonderful day that has been full with happiness, food and presents! :)

I have had the most amazing day and was spoilt rotten - despite feeling poorly most of the day (sucks to be me!)

Christmas is easily one of my favourite times of the year as its an excuse to spend the whole day snuggled up in your new PJs, surrounded by the people you love, watching Christmas films/TV and eating lots of food! I have had a huge amount of Christmas spirit and have done for a fair few weeks before Christmas.

I thought I would share with you an image of my festive cheer.

I purchased this bow the other weekend to be able to wear it at work over the festive period! I think I totally rocked it.

Hope you received everything you had wished for this Christmas lovelies! Here's to a fantastic New Year

Liverpool

Good Evening Lovelies!
Another late post from me, I find that I do most of blogging once I've got in bed :)

Seen as it's this time of year and there's lots of festivities to be celebrated me and my friends from uni decided to have our Christmas night out last weekend in Liverpool!

We hadn't been on a night out together for a while and thought we would make the most of it! It was a great night with the most amazing company. So I thought I would share a few pictures from the night with you all.

My outfit of the night consisted of a black, midi pencil skirt, black peeptoe wedges and a red sequined peplum top (featured in one of my previous blogs)

Hope you're all enjoying the holidays & are all ready for Christmas!
I know I am :D

Outfit Post #5

This outfit was from today (19/12/12)
As you have probably noticed the images I upload are not taken in my girly room, they are taken in my brothers! He has a mirror that takes much better full length pictures.

Today I decided to wear an outfit that was rock chick inspired! Again, like you have probably noticed I am wearing leopard print - but this time in the shape of a pencil skirt<3
I have SO many pencil skirts in my wardrobe not only because they are extremely flattering for my pear shaped figure but I also love the mod and 60s fashion.
This skirt was £20 from Republic - bargain!

My Tee-shirt is Guns 'n' Roses and was £10 from H&M - this is actually a size 6! Incredible!
It was one of those items you see and just have to have but they didn't have it in my usual size of a 10 so as a desperate measure I tried it on in a 6 and decided it would do - it is a bit of the short side but its still a pretty decent fit!

I apologise for the mess that is my hair! It desperately needs washing but it was raining so decided it was a bit pointless to wash - so I shoved it up in a messy, curly bun with my 'bangs' left down and loose.

I also decided to wear my creepers, red lipstick and black eyeliner flicks to complete the look! I actually think it's one of my favourite outfits I've worn in a while and will definitely keep it in mind for the future. It would be a perfect outfit for a gig or like today shopping with my mother.

Oh, btw! I mentioned before I am a typical pear shape (would be hourglass if I had bigger boobs, damn!) so I tend to wear clothing that suits my figure! So tend to wear clothes that cinch in my waist and accentuate my curves.
P.s. I have an ass that rivals Kim Kardashian!

Outfit Post #4

Good evening Lovelies,
Hope everyone has had a good week so far! Not long until the weekend, and best of all only 6 days left until Christmas! :D

Here's one of my outfit posts for the week! I am pretty obsessed with anything leopard print and it is heavily featured in my wardrobe. This sheer leopard print shirt is one of my favourites without a doubt! It goes with pretty much anything - jeans, pencil skirts, trousers & even leggings as it is long enough to cover your bum at the back. It was something ridiculous like £12 from Primark and as soon as I seen it I just had to buy it.

I have had these trousers for years and stopped wearing them as I felt they were a bit tight after putting on a bit of weight after college. I found them right at the back of my wardrobe and thought I would give them a second chance - and wowza, they fit! I was absolutely made up as they are a size 10.
These again were from Primark for a affordable price of around £15-20. They are perfect to dress up or down and are extremely comfy and the wooly exterior is perfect for the chilly months.

I LOVE loafers! They are a must have in my wardrobe, no matter what the weather. These were a bit pricey at £32 from Topshop but they are SO comfy and go with absolutely everything. They have a real vintage feel about them with a brown/black marble look.

Hope you likey!

Motivational Monday #4

Happy Monday Lovelies!
Hope everybody has had a great weekend - especially all you uni students who have finished for Christmas now (woohoo!)
It's that time of the week again, Motivational Monday! :)

Ok, so this motivational Monday is a bit of a rant as well as a motivational post. Basically, I have heard a large amount of people recently feeling sorry for themselves that things haven't gone the way they wanted them too or things are too hard so they 'can't be bothered' or are too lazy to change the things they are unhappy with in life. Well, do you know what I say to those kinds of people? More Fool You!
I am a strong believer in that, as an individual, you have to work your ass off for anything you want in life no matter how big or small! You can't just expect things to fall into place simply because you want them to or because that way everything would be simple - tough! Get up off your backside, face the world & tell them who's boss! Fight for what you want, if you want something enough, the battle will be hard but the outcome and end result will be worth it 10x over! And most of the time you end up getting exactly what you want. You're the only person who can change YOU and YOUR life, so do it - What's stopping you?

This leads on nicely to this next image -
"You've only got three choices in life:
Give up
Give in or
Give it all you've got."

This couldn't be more true than if it were to smack you point blank in the face. The most satisfying feeling is working SO hard at something, giving it everything you have, to have whatever you wanted at the end. Whether it's a new job/promotion, a lifetime ambition, completing a puzzle - anything! Outcomes are what you make them - if you have a dream or passion, or even just something you've always wanted to do/try - Do it, Live it, Dream it! Be whoever and wherever you want to be, you're the only person that's stopping you.
Baring this in mind I have cleared my thoughts & have programmed to push myself harder this year, crack on with all my University assignments, finish my Dissertation early and come out with the 2:1 I want and rightfully deserve after working hard! Plus, that means when all that is over I can go on holiday with my girls. There's always light at the end of the tunnel, sometimes it just takes longer to get there and find it.

My recent Primark trip.

Just like many girls I love to shop! I also love jewellery so I was absolutely chuffed to find some absolute bargains in the accessory department when I went shopping the other day.

I really like Primark, but recently, haven't been able to spot anything that wows me or catches my eye. I'm usually the queen at finding a bargain.

When I went shopping the other day with my mother, it was mainly so she could finish off Christmas shopping, I was pleasantly surprised by the incredible jewellery Primark has on offer, an offer I just simply couldn't refuse.

The pieces I purchased can be put into the 'rock chick' trend and feature a heavy must have atm; Crosses!

These earrings are my ultimate fave! I have seen similar ones in Topshop and have always wanted to splurge but never had the courage so you can imagine my delight when I found these bad boys!
At £3.00 it they were an absolute steal and will go with pretty much any outfit.
I plan to wear them to add to any daytime outfit of Jeans/leggings and a blouse but will also compliment any going out outfit. I also think they would look pretty cool with only one in and a stud in the other ear - pirate esque? me likey!

This next purchase is a completely different style to what I have seen around other high street shops. The cross necklaces I have seen have been long chain, pendant styles but I fell in love with this as soon as I seen it. Perfect for any daytime outfit that is a bit plain and needs something added to it.

I actually seen this ring on another girls blog, and when I found out it was from Primark I purposefully went on the hunt for it. Again, keeping in with current must have trends of spikes this ring is a total bargain at £2 and adds a bit of bling to any outfit you're planning to wear!

These are an absolute steal at £1, plus, they had them in gold and rose gold! Pretty much every bit of jewellery I own is gold so when I seen these earrings in this metallic colour I thought I would give them a try to mix it up a little bit. I wore them in the daytime, with a big bun in my hair, harem pants, grey blouse and blazer jacket.

This necklace matches the above earrings perfectly and is the usual cross chains I have seen in most high street shops. I probably wouldn't wear the two together, personally, as it may be cross overload but it's a really plain necklace so can be put with any outfit.
I wore it today for work with a black midi pencil skirt, cut out cross vest and converse - trying to go for a cool, rock chick look (whether I pulled it off I don't know!)

Altogether I spent £10 on all these accessories which I think is an absolute steal considering how much I got! I'm so happy with everything & can't wait for the next excuse/outfit to wear them with!

MUA Make-Up Brushes

I have been saying to myself for a period of time now that I am in desperate need of new make-up brushes, but refuse to pay the prices that retailers and make-up brands have.
Meaning I have had to use my old ones for longer than I would have wanted so when I heard MUA (Make-Up Academy) were bringing out their own make-up brush range I was ecstatic!!

I absolutely adore MUA! They're make-up is simply stunning and is incredibly cheap, so if on a low budget MUA is the best to make-up to purchase.

When my brushes arrived I couldn't contain my excitement!
I purchased;
F1 - Foundation Brush
F4 - Powder Brush
F6 - Blusher and Contouring brush
E1 - Eyeshadow Brush
E3 - Blending and Eyeshadow Brush

The foundation brush gives a really even coverage, with no streaks! I hate it when my foundation looks streaky as if I have applied it with a paint brush, not a make-up brush. The brush itself is really soft and just glides across your face and gives a light, glowing foundation base.

Again, the powder brush is equally as soft as the foundation brush and provides an even, light coverage. At first I felt I had to put a lot of powder on the brush as it seemed difficult to cover the brush. However, after the first use the brush is really easy to use and feels the same as a professional make-up brush.

This has to be my favourite make-up brush purchase from the MUA range! I find some blusher brushes can be rather rough on the skin and not provide a natural looking cheek. However, this brush is perfect and provides a stunning natural looking cheek, and accentuates your features beautifully and can build up your blusher easily depending on how much colour you want, rather than feeling you have too much on straight away. Again, like all the brushes in the MUA range it is super soft and feels lovely on your skin.

I have a huge thing about things touching my skin as I have rather sensitive skin and prone to spots whenever I use something new, but these brushes gave me no problems whatsoever and they are my new favourite beauty essentials. I can't wait to try the eyeshadow brushes when I next go out! And I can't wait to buy more after Christmas when pay day finally comes around.

You lovely ladies definitely need to purchase these brushes! They are my must haves - get your mum or boyfriend to treat you this Christmas!
