The Impossible

Good Evening Lovelies,

Yay, its the weekend!! Hope you've all had a fantastic Friday night :) Please make sure you're all safe in the snow, we don't want any accidents!

I am currently lay in bed after coming in from an evening at the cinema. A usual and regular occurrence in the week for myself and my group of friends, however, this cinema trip was something else. I went to see the The Impossible which is all about the horrendous tragedy that hit South East Asia on Boxing day 2004, the Tsunami, which took thousands of peoples lives. This film reveals the incredible, true story of a family who not only survived, but, found the courage to look & eventually find one another when the odds were against them. I have never been so moved by one film. I'm currently lay in bed, unable to sleep as I keep thinking about this film and how lucky that family were. How lucky I am.

If you haven't managed to see this film yet then you MUST! There was no way I could have simply watched this film, forgotten about it and gone to sleep tonight. I knew I had to come home and tell as many people as possible to go and watch it. Here is the video to the trailer -  make sure you watch this and then get yourself down to the cinema asap!

Basically, the title of this film speaks for itself. The Impossible. This film simply not only challenges the odds but completely defines and breaks them. When a freak accident or tragedy happens, like the Tsunami of 2004, you're expecting the worst case scenario. Even when you hear of survivors, your beliefs are still shattered and shocked at the fact that this has just happened and you can't even begin to imagine what it must be like out there. Well, you want to know? Watch the film. This film not only gives a completely realistic insight into the goings on during that time, but allows you to place yourself into the shoes of the characters and really empathise with what they went through. You can even imagine you and your family in this situation and how you would be fighting for survival, just to be able to see your family one last time. Not only does it do that.
This film restores hope.
This film restores belief.
You end up subconsciously realising just how lucky you truly are. How lucky you are to be surrounded by the people you love and how important family mean. This film, this family, this story brings the true meaning of life and how you need to treasure every single precious moment and person in it before it is too late. I have never felt this emotionally attached to a film, apart from My Sisters Keeper, I literally cried from beginning to end. The story and the way it has been told is incredible & extremely powerful. I could watch it over and over again because it not only illustrates the importance of life and family. It simply shows how if you belief, have faith and hope anything IS possible. Even the word impossible has the word possible in it!
Just like the end of the trailer says;

Nothing is more Powerful than the Human Spirit!

Hopeful
